Challenge:

Ignite wonder, and transform an existing museum in the process

Solution:

Use cool physics experiences and eccentric, fun design as a catalyst to transform the way people see the museum and their physical world. We worked with Discovery Place’s experienced staff to understand what the museum did well, and to define its vision for the future as a community resource for science learning. We then designed an exhibition that realizes that vision in a playful, highly hands-on experience, creating the benchmark for all new Discovery Place efforts in the process.
Scope:
Master planning, exhibition design, exhibit prototyping & evaluation, architectural advising, space planning, infrastructure specification, graphic design & production, fabrication & installation management
